Requires an associate degree from an accredited program Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant Licensed and registered in the state to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Job Summary:
Assists the Occupational Therapist with rehabilitative activities to help reduce pain and improve mobility. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing.
Assists the Occupational Therapist in the evaluation and assessment of the needs of referred patients and helps in formulating treatment plans. Provides therapy services in accordance with a defined written treatment plan. Within level of experience and training, plans and implements medically prescribed specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practice of occupational therapy.
