Mobile Unit FAQ

Q. How will you work with Parents? Teachers?

A. We plan to help parents, families, and schools in multiple facets. We plan to offer parent education and teacher education on-site whenever possible.

Q. How do individuals schedule services? Do you take insurance or private pay?

A. Patients will be scheduled like any other services at our mobile clinic. Referrals from another provider are not required. There will be contact information provided in the near future to schedule appointments.

Q. Is this a free service? If not, who pays?

A. Services will be billed to insurance. For those without insurance or who are unable to pay Memorial Hospital has services and financial aid programs to help assist.

Q. When will the Mobile Unit be completed and in service?

A. We plan to have services up and running at the beginning of this 2024-2025 school year. (Subject to CMS approval).

Q. What will the mobile unit do during the summer?

A. The mobile unit is designed for multiple uses. We hope it will be utilized where it is needed. Possible uses may include health screenings, physicals, or providing educational opportunities to our community.

Q. Is there a plan to add a lift? How will you meet the needs of individuals of all abilities?

A. At this time, we don’t have the space to add specific lifts or services to meet all vehicle needs. We will meet those needs by providing services in the location that best works for each individual. This may be in one of our clinics or in the school itself.
