Staff Pharmacist

The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the accurate preparation, dispensing, and counseling of medications for patients. This role involves supervising pharmacy technicians, overseeing the accuracy of their work, and stepping into the Pharmacy Manager role in their absence. The Staff Pharmacist plays a critical role in maintaining the pharmacy’s compliance with safety and regulatory standards and actively participates in the optimization of patient care and pharmacy operations.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
2. Current, active license as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Illinois
3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and direct staff
4. Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
5. Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills
7. High attention to detail and professionalism in all interactions
8. Proficiency in computer systems, including data entry, reporting, calculations, and communication tools

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
2. Advanced Life Support “ALS” certification
3. 1 year of hospital or ambulatory pharmacy experience
4. Experience with the EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system
