Memorial Medical Clinics is proud to announce the addition of Chelsea Youmans, MSN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, to its Behavioral Health team. Youmans brings a wealth of experience and a compassionate approach to serving the mental health needs of the community.
Youmans is dual board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Her diverse clinical interests include behavioral health, addiction medicine, and aesthetics, and she is dedicated to meeting patients where they are on their journey to wellness.
Her educational background includes Post-Master’s Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Iowa; MSN – Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham; BSN from Chamberlain College of Nursing, and ADN from Park University. Youmans began her nursing career in 2002 and earned her Family Nurse Practitioner certification in 2013. Her extensive experience spans women’s health, family practice, ER, wound care, aesthetics, and, most recently, behavioral health.
In 2021, Youmans and her family relocated to the area from Ketchikan, Alaska, where they enjoyed fishing, hunting, and exploring the great outdoors. She and her husband have two children. Youmans embraces a patient-centered philosophy inspired by the words of Brené Brown: “All I know is that my life is better when I assume that people are doing their best. It keeps me out of judgment and lets me focus on what is and not what should or could be.”
