Description

To manage and direct all aspects of a foodservice operation serving an elderly population living in a supportive and assisted living community

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

1.      Interviews tenants and family members of the community to discuss the meal service and determine special needs as applicable.

2.      Provides basic nutrition education related to specific disease conditions and allergies as identified by the registered dietitian.

3.      Completes appropriate progress notes in the medical record of interaction with tenants.

4.      Completes meal observations daily and plate waste studies on a regular basis.

5.      Reviews and develops menus for daily and special event meals using a menu program and independently in compliance with applicable regulations.

6.      Conducts inventory and prepares orders to obtain adequate supplies preparation of daily menu in each community.

7.      Conducts routine meetings and in-service education with staff to enhance knowledge and promote a positive working environment

8.      Reviews recipes and production methods for preservation of nutritional value, safety and presentation.

Description

Two positions open - 1 being a float position that would float between all clinic locations.

This is a clinical practitioner who participates in providing patient care. He/she is able to implement and evaluate patient care specific to the age of the patient population served from newborn to the elderly. He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. He/she demonstrated performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing system; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect. Acts as a patient advocate at all times. To assist the primary provider in all professional and clinical procedures. Clinical procedures shall include phlebotomy, performing EKG's, urinalysis, injections, and taking and recording patient vital signs.

Description

The Certified Nurse Assistant is responsible for providing personal care to the residents. Personal care includes assistance with meals, dressing, movement, and bathing. The CNA follows established facility policies and procedures while providing care and coordinates resident care with other facility personnel and families.

Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meal items as ordered or directed that are safe, nutritious, of appropriate temperature and according to therapeutic diet guidelines.
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work area and equipment. Completes assigned cleaning in a timely manner.
  • Clean and sanitize dishes and utensils.
  • Completes temperature checks and records on daily log sheet.
  • Plans and prepares entrees for cafeteria patrons and special events.
  • Wait on customers in the cafeteria as needed.

Maintenance Mechanic

Description

Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the boiler, cooling towers, water softeners and emergency generators.  Works on remodeling projects, does work orders, and is responsible for mechanical preventive maintenance duties.  Installs, maintains and repairs all types of mechanical equipment.

Fills in for the building and grounds position during vacation periods, sick leave, etc.

Takes "leave word" (call) for one week duration on a regular rotating basis.

 

 

 

Maternal Newborn Registered Nurse

The Maternal Newborn Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who assesses, coordinates, implements and evaluates patient care specific to female patients age menarche to menopause in the ante partum period, labor, delivery, post partum and to newborn infants.

  2. Previous experience in a hospital Patient Access Department preferred.
  3. Previous clinical experience in an Emergency Room situation preferred.
  4. Proficiency with all Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  5. Basic accounting principals required.
  6. Basic knowledge of computer related skills are required.
  7. Mathematical skills and typing (30 wpm or better preferred) skills required.
  8. Clear, legible handwriting skills.
  9. Ability to use a calculator, fax machine, copy machine and accurately perform filing functions.
  10. Medical terminology preferred.
Description

Interviews and registers patients for hospital admittance, outpatient procedures, and emergency services either in person or on the phone for pre-registration. Obtains all applicable medical, demographic, and payment source information to enable the Hospital to appropriately treat the patient, bill the proper payers, and comply with Federal and State regulations. Keeping EMTALA in mind, attempts point of service collection when appropriate to inform patients of their financial responsibility to allow for an educated decision on what the patient feels is appropriate treatment and to reduce back end collection expenses. Assists the nursing staff by performing clerical and clinical duties within the individuals scope of care within the nursing unit as needed; records patient ER visits in the electronic statistical tracking sheets and CPSI ER log; processes patient charts and files testing in the patient’s chart before it goes to Medical Records; verifies benefits on inpatient registrations, outpatient surgicals, and other accounts as needed. Balances the cash drawer; maintain electronic patient files as needed; maintain departmental supply inventory; prepare the various lists related to patients for appropriate use; communicate effectively with a wide range of age groups from the very young to the elderly and multiple socio-economic backgrounds. 1. Interview and complete the registration of all patients to ensure an accurate patient medical record. This may include the calling of physician’s offices.

2. Assists the nursing staff by performing clinical duties within the individual’s scope of care within the nursing unit as needed.

3. Attempts point of service collection when appropriate while remaining compliant with EMTALA. 4. Demonstrates the ability to properly prioritize activities within the department as needed. 5. Accurately and promptly handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls with proper telephone etiquette.
